Pottery
All My Pottery is hand thrown on the wheel or hand built by me. I don't use molds. Each piece is a little bit different. I hand paint all of them free hand. I make all of my own glazes. There isn't any lead in the glazes. The designs I use on my Pottery are those The Eastern Tribes would have used for food. And some of us still do. Moose, Fiddleheads and Cat Tails. Fiddleheads are collected in the spring, by brooks and rivers. The Cat tails are also picked in the spring. They are found wherever there is moisture. It's collected when it's about 6" tall. The Moose is hunted in the fall. They are all very good as well as being very beautiful. The Clay I use is Stoneware or Porcelain. It's oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. My pottery is fired to 2200 degree, so not much bothers it.
